I've known KC my whole life. His father and my father were best friends since they were kids and were in bands together for a majority of their lives. I've grown up with KC and his older brother Ty. Even though they are quite a few years older then myself, they have always felt more like family then friends. The first time I met Adrianna- I instantly loved her! She is bubbly, happy and smiles all the time. When she asked me to photograph their wedding I was beyond excited.
Adrianna got ready at her and KC's house, while KC got ready with his brother and best friend at Ty's house next door. Adrianna has these two beautiful chairs in their living room that were her grandmothers- They were perfect for detail photos.
How stinkin' cute is this girl? I loved that her dress was actually a bridesmaid dress that she found and loved and ordered in ivory.
Next door KC had a little help getting ready.
Yes by help I meant his best friend and a shot or two of Crown.
KC and Adrianna tied the knot with only 12 people preasent on the lawn of KC's mother's house. Not wanting to aerate the lawn -she ditched her shoes once she got to the grass.
Adrianna was quite emotional while reading her vows. Let's just say she wasn't the only one. It's truly a miracle there are any in focus photos during the ceremony.
Husband & Wife.
The full attendance of the ceremony.
Brothers.
I love these two photos. KC and his mom and then her with her two boys.
After the ceremony I stole KC and Adrianna for a few mins to grab a few photos of the two of them. KC kept saying "good luck getting a smile" He is known for not giving real smiles in photos- well I think I was lucky because having Adrianna there made it pretty easy to get real smiles.
A few hours later we arrived at the Italian Herritage Center in Portland, ME for their reception.
JD, KC's father passed away a few years ago but his spirit and memory were everywhere at this wedding. KC and Adrianna had the coolest guest book ever! Now- maybe I'm bias due to my personal connection. JD and my father were in a band called 'The Blend' back in the 70's and they had two records recorded with MCA- Their guest book was a copy of each original record with markers for people to sign. I think all couples should find a unique and personal way to do a guest book. It's much more fun to have something you want to keep and display rather then a totally impersonal book sitting on the shelf collecting dust.
This next photo is my favorite of the night! That's my parents with the happy couple!
The toasts were full of laughs and smiles.
First dance.
The music got everyone on their feet- Adrianna spent a majority of the night on the dance floor with her friends and family.
KC and his brother Ty were also in a band. With 'The Fizz' all together for the first time in a while they couldn't help but play a few songs.
KC & Adrianna- Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding. I was truly honored to be there and I wish you both the very best. I love you!
